Joanne (a.k.a. “the 99′er”) has been singing almost as long as she has been talking. It all started many years ago when her favorite aunt convinced her to sing her “something pretty” for her in the family living room one rainy Sunday afternoon. From that point on, her path in life was chosen.
At the age of seventeen, Joanne kissed her mom and dad goodbye at the door of her Connecticut home then set off on the road with her first band. Through the years she has worked in just about every genre of music…country, pop, blues and funk . She has recorded numerous radio and television commercials throughout the New England area and done studio sessions for recording artists such as Jonathan Edwards and Chuck Berry. She has also had the opportunity to be the opening act for legendary performers such as Roy Orbison and Hall and Oates.
In 2006, Joanne joined up with Ski to become the harmonious half of SKI and the 99′ers. She does her best to not only sing the song, but to make you feel the story that goes along with it.
